The 23rd Rybinsk Championship was held from November 8 to December 30, 2015. Time control: 2 hours and 30 minutes per batch. Players ranked from 1 to 4 received the right to play in the Final 24 Championship of Rybinsk. Players who won this right following the results of Final 22 of the Czech Republic were allowed to participate in the tournament.

This is the first official tournament in Russia, played according to the regulations of the co-SoR-8 (not Yamasyrv-8, as at VT-2015, for example, or with relaxation as in the Moscow championship). It is noteworthy that the first official game on co-operative-8 also took place in Rybinsk – in August at the championship of the Yaroslavl region, it was the game of Smirnov-Reybandt. The champion of Rybinsk was once again Evgeny Smirnov.
