We devote more and more publications to adult tournaments, but we pay much less attention to children’s ones, and this is despite the fact that Renju is largely focused on children. Let’s try to correct this mistake: this publication is devoted to the review of groups at the nearest youth championship. The coming championship of Russia promises to be one of the most interesting in recent years. Traditionally, numerous members will exhibit Podyuga and Rybinsk, besides them, delegations from Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod are expected this year. It was also expected that after a significant break, children from Zhigulevsk will also take part, but apparently this year they will not come again.
As in previous years, the groups of juniors and juniors will be the smallest, where at the moment there are three people. However, in both groups there will be a struggle for gold. It is also expected that there will be another participant in the junior group – Aleksey Glibin, 1 dan from Rybinsk, who will compete for third place. In view of their small number, these groups will be merged.
Juniors (born 1992-1997):
Golomarev Anton (Yakutsk) 6 dan
Hook Roman (Podyuga) 6 dan
Nogovitsin Alexander (Konosha) 1 dan
Junior women (born 1992-1997):

Oborina Anastasia (Podyuga) 5 dan
Glibina Ekaterina (Rybinsk) 1 kyu
The most fierce struggle for medals will most likely be in the group of young men. Favorite – the winner of last year, Denis Fedotov, however, he also has competitors – Oleg Semenov and Alexei Vostryakov, who bypassed him at the last championship of the Konosha district. In general, many have a chance to cling to the top three. Among the main candidates are group debut Nikita Dyachkov, as well as Gennady Ponezhin and Maxim Lavrik-Karmazin.

In the group of girls there is no particular intrigue for gold, a clear favorite is the winner of the women’s championship of Russia – Kira Laško. Her most principled opponent, Alexandra Sumarokova, has not yet appeared for the tournament. And if everything is clear with gold with the current composition, then almost half of the group has chances for silver and bronze.

Despite the fact that the group of boys is the most numerous, intrigue is not expected here. Moreover, this group has the most beginners and most of the yawns and novice errors. There are two candidates for gold – last year’s winner Ivan Danilin and Nikita Nikolaev, who last year was content with only 4th place. Both of them greatly added to the game for the year and it will be very interesting to follow their opposition. They will compete with Kirill Stoyanov, who spoke unsuccessfully last year, and Arseny Fedoseyev, the bronze medalist of the last year.

In the group of girls, Ksenia Matushkina also has no competitors for gold, but there are enough contenders for silver and bronze. It is very difficult to identify anyone, as in a group of girls. Perhaps, the best chances for a good performance are Stulova Veronika, who took the 2nd place in the championship of the Konosha district, Alexander Kuzmina, who took the 4th place in the group last year, and Taisiya Sadova.
