Moscow Championship was held from December 20 to 25, 2015

This is traditionally the strongest regional championship, although this year Oleg Fedorkin did not take part in it.

The championship was played according to the rules of co-operative-8 with relaxation: if the opponent made the 4th move, assigned the number 5, and the player cannot figure out what to do, then he can instead of choosing the color after the 4th move ask the opponent to put one 5 th move and after that choose the color until the end of the game.

Players asked for this relaxation in 9 (32%) games. Karen Sirateghyan used loosening most of all – 6 times, the other players did not use the looser more than once.

The intrigue of the whole tournament was the last round, in which the fate of the first place was actually decided. In the game of Nikonov-Tarannikov, Konstantin Nikonov made a theoretical mistake by closing the three on the 9th move from the wrong side, as a result, Yury Tarannikov became the champion of Moscow this year.
